Alright, so I'm here finally! Brit, Clint & Roy told my behind to blog awhile back, but haven't been as free as I would like to be. Sure I'm up and about somewhere of what-looks-like-a-vacation, but make no mistakes homies--BN2Society is ALWAYS on the grind for that next hustle, regardless personally or collectively; needless to say, vacation-swayshun, it always become business--networking, talking to people & making connects.
Anyways, Brit's last post is right--I was in Washington up on Mount St. Helen--the location of the historic volcano of 1980, which was the deadliest and most economically destructive volcanic event in the history of the United States. Fifty-seven people were killed; 250 homes, 47 bridges, 15 miles of railways, and 185 miles of highway were destroyed. The eruption caused a massive debris avalanche, reducing the elevation of the mountain's summit from 9,677 feet to 8,365 feet and replacing it with a mile-wide horseshoe-shaped crater. The debris avalanche was up to 0.7 cubic miles in volume. The Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument was created to preserve the volcano and allow for its aftermath to be scientifically studied. U.S. President Jimmy Carter surveyed the damage and said "Someone said this area looked like a moonscape. But the moon looks more like a golf course compared to what's up there."[31] A film crew, led by Seattle filmmaker Otto Seiber, was dropped by helicopter on St. Helens on May 23 to document the destruction. Their compasses, however, spun in circles and they quickly became lost. A second eruption occurred on May 25, but the crew survived and was rescued two days later by National Guard helicopter pilots. Their film, The Eruption of Mount St. Helens, later became a popular documentary.
I had to hit it up during my trip to Seattle to catch up with some homies--I'm a history fuh-reak! Anyways, but as for Seattle itself--all the times that I have refused to go for the past year--to finally go and discover a hidden gem. It started w/the descent past Mt. Ranier & Puget Sound [too bad I didn't have a camera on hand then].
Flew there to figure it out personally why they call Seattle , the 'Emeral City'! If you've never gone, then my strongest recommendation; especially if you're in need of relaxation & peace of mind....
Weather were Hi 60s daytime and Mid-Hi 50s nighttime. I couldn't ask for more beautiful days and reminscing nights....

Hustled the airline TWICE to stay back another day to enjoy the weather =)
As for the title of this blog "Liberate your mind, spirit & soul"--it's what I've done for myself this past 2 years. It's an indescribable feeling from within. I have worries, but then none. I stress, but then not really. I think, but not too hard. I smile, because I have all reasons to. I realized all that I've achieved for my mind recently during a sit-down with a good friend, hearing him talk about the trials and tribulations within his life; at one point, I couldn't stop smiling at him, and reluctantly he questioned why. I simply told him, "I wish you could feel how I feel about life right now--just so that your mind can be at ease."
As soon as I could find some more time, I will post my 2 months trip back to the Vietnam where I flew in with only a small luggage, a map of the country, & a Lonely Planet guide. =)
